Why should I choose EFC Painting over another painting company?

It’s simple really. Our craftsmanship and attention to detail will make the noticeable difference in the final appearance of your home or business. We pride ourselves on being amongst the best painters in the London area. Apart from the incredibly high standards we set for ourselves, what distinguishes EFC Painting from most other painting contractors is that its owner is a certified journeyman painter/decorator. Eric holds a Red Seal Certificate of Qualification as a “Painter and Decorator Branch 1 – Commercial and Residential” issued by the province of Ontario. To obtain this certification, a painter must successfully complete a registered apprenticeship program and pass the certificate of qualification exam at the end of it.  You can rest assured that you are hiring a highly skilled and knowledgeable career master painter. How many years have you been painting/been in business?

Eric has been working in the painting industry for over twenty years. EFC Painting was established in 2009.

How soon can you start my painting project?

It all depends on our current workload. Jobs are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis and all jobs are given equal importance.

What preparation is done before each project?

As no two projects are ever the same, the type of preparation involved all depends on the existing coating (if any) and condition of the surface.  Certain projects require more preparation than others, but rest assured, as it is the most critical part of any painting project, we always make sure it is done thoroughly to ensure a quality finish and sustained durability. We use top-of-the-line Mirka sanders and abrasives to ensure all surfaces are prepared to the highest possible standards before finishing. In a room containing furniture and/or electronics, all pieces are protected with plastic sheeting and/or drop sheets. Furniture is moved away from walls where necessary then reset afterwards. Floors are protected and electrical switch/outlet plates are removed and also reset.

What brands of paint do you use?

Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams and Dulux are our three main suppliers and the products we recommend and use the most. That said, if a customer has a specific product in mind for their project, we are more than happy to oblige. We are also well-versed in many other paint products from companies such as Farrow & BallBehr and Cutek. We don’t believe in using cheap paint or stain as it only compromises the quality and durability of the finish as well as making our job all the more difficult and time consuming.

Are you registered and insured?

Yes, EFC Painting is a fully registered company and carries $5,000,000 in general liability. We are also registered and compliant with the Workplace Safety Insurance Board of Ontario (W.S.I.B).

What do I need to do before you start my painting project?

We kindly ask that you remove any breakables and/or wall decorations from rooms or areas to be painted. We can move furniture if necessary and replace it afterwards.

My project will require the use of a boom and/or scissor lift to access certain areas. Are you licensed to operate one?

Yes, as many commercial and exterior residential projects require the use of elevated work platforms, we are currently certified to operate various types of booms and/or scissor lifts. We are also “Working at Heights” certified under the new Ontario Ministry of Labour regulations.

What days/hours do you generally work?

Our regular working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm.
